St. Apostle Andrew The First Called celebrated in Johannesburg
The church-school community of St. Sava from Johannesburg hosted the celebration of St. Apostle Andrew the First Called which was also celebrated by members of the Romanian Orthodox community in South Africa. Since our brothers Romanians recently bought a land for building a first Orthodox church in South Africa and until recently celebrated this feast day mostly in Greek churches, this year that asked the Serbian parish to use for this occasion the church and the hall.
- Very gladly and with love we will answer the plea of our brothers of the same faith, archimandrite Pantelejmon said.
The celebration was enhanced with a presence of Archbishop Damaskin of Johannesburg and Pretoria, who after mutual service, wished Romanian priest father Rosvan and his parishioners that God help them realize soon their greatest wish and build their church in Johannesburg.
