St. John's Day celebrated in Belgrade

The feast day of Sinaxis of Saint John the Baptist - St. John's Day was formally celebrated with the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy at the Cathedral Church in Belgrade. His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral, Locum tenens of the Patriarchate throne, served the  Hierarchal Liturgy with the concelebration of seven priests and five deacons.

During the Holy Liturgy, Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral ordained deacon Marko Kojic a presbyter, who is theologian from the faculty in Libertville. In his God-breathed sermon on the Gospel, His Eminence interpreted and conveyed a message of the holiday.
