St. Paul Days in Veria
His Grace Bishop Andrej of Remesiana, with the blessing of His Holiness Irinej Serbian Patriarch and with the decision of the Holy Assembly of Bishops, there is a representative of our Local Serbian Orthodox Church in Veria at the Interorthodox Convention, held on the occasion of St. Paul's Day, the slava of the town of Veria, one of the oldest Christian towns in which Holy Apostle Paul preached and founded one of the first Christian eucharistic Congregations.
Bishop Andrej conveyed greetings of His Holiness Irinej to the host Mr. Panteleymon, as well as the expressions of prayerful support of our whole CHurch to brotherly Greek people in this difficult times. The letter of His Holiness was read at the opening, eighteenth, International Scientific Convention held in honour of Apostle Paul with a theme: Freedom according to Apostle Paul.
His Grace Bishop Andrej had an honour that among many invitees from all over the Orthodox world to lead the Feast day's slava evening service on the Eve of the town's slava. On this occasion he adressed with a sermon lots of believers and guests talking about the significance of Apostle Paul and his preaching.
