St. Sava's Day Academy of St. Sava Seminary in Belgrade

Last evening in the amphiteatre of the Faculty of the Orthodox Theology the formal St. Sava's Day Academy of the St. Sava Seminary in Belgrade was held. The celebration, on the occasion of the school Patron Saint's Day of the Belgrade Seminary, was attended by His Holiness IRINEJ, Serbian Patriarch.

Their Graces Bishops Longin of Nova Grachanica-Midwestern America and Atanasije of Hvosno also attended the celebration.

A rich cultural  program commenced with a welcoming speech of protopresbyter-staurophor Dr. Dragan Protic, the rector of the St Sava Seminary. Then followed a St. Sava's Day sermon of professor deacon Veroljub Sanda.

The Choir of the St. Sava Seminary led by professor Milan Milijanovic performed series of compositions of Mokranjac and Solovyev.

The Children choir Rastko of the St. Sava Cathedral also made a great impression on the public.

 

Many guests, priests, ex-pupils and professors continued socializing after the Academy at the formal reception in the Hall of the Belgrade Seminary.
