The stavropegial monastery in Bitola celebrated its dedication feast-day
Тhe feast of St. John Chrysostom was celebrated by His Beatitude, Archbishop of Ohrid and Metropolitan of Skopje Jovan in the stavropegial monastery of St. John Chrysostom in Bitola, Macedonia, on the 26th of November 2019.
It was at the same time a patron name’s day of the Archbishop himself. The joy of the feast was enhanced by the visit of His Grace Bishop Isihije of Mohach, Vicar of the Bishop of Bačka and Abbot of the Kovilj Monastery, who arrived with his monastic fraternity.
The prayerful presence of the sisterhood of the monastery of St. Stephen of Gornji Zabski in the Diocese of Vranje contributed to the magnificent rite of worship.
The all-night vigil service was led by Bishop Isihije, whereas His Beatitude Archbishop John presided over the Holy Liturgy, with the concelebration of Bishop Isihije and the hierarchs of the Orthodox Archdiocese of Ohrid: Bishop Mark of Bregalnica and locum tenens of Bitola, and Bishop David of Stobia and locum tenens of Struma, as well as of the clergy of the Orthodox Archdiocese of Ohrid.
