Orthodoxy Clergy Brotherhood of Greater Philadelphia Celebrates Sunday of Orthodoxy

On Sunday March 5th, 2017, the Orthodox clergy and faithful of greater Philadelphia gathered in Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Wilmington DE., to celebrate Vespers in commemoration of the Triumph of Orthodoxy. Our honored guest was His Grace, Rt. Rev. Bishop Thomas of the Antiochian Orthodox Diocese of Charleston, Oakland and the Mid-Atlantic. In his homily, His Grace emphasized that each of us is a living icon, and the importance of frequent and fervent partaking of the Holy Eucharist for us to become ever more godly living icons.

Amongst the celebrating clergy were: Fr. Stephen Hutnick (Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, and president of the Philadelphia Orthodox Clergy Brotherhood), Fr. Mark Kozak (Holy Assumption Orthodox Church, OCA), Fr. Daniel Meyer (Holy Ascension Antiochian Orthodox Church), Fr. Noah Bushelli (St. Philip Antiochian Orthodox Church), Fr. Martin Brown (St. Mark Orthodox Church, OCA), Fr. Nicholas Dellerman (Sts. Peter and Paul Albanian Orthodox Church), Fr. Victor Gorodenchyuk (St. Stephen Orthodox Cathedral, OCA), Fr. Gregory Winsky and Fr. Vincent Savarino (St. Archangel Michael Russian Orthodox Church), Fr. John Perich (St. Herman of Alaska Orthodox Church, OCA), Fr. Joel Gilliam (St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church), Fr. Milorad Orlic (St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church), and Deacon Nicholas Reed (Holy Ascension Antiochian Orthodox Church).

Following Vespers, a Lenten dinner was served by the Ladies Society of Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church to all present, at which time the clergy and faithful were able to enjoy each others fellowship.
