Synagogue religious events suspended in Thessaloniki amid coronavirus fear

All religious gatherings at the synagogues and community centers were suspended until March 14, 2020, by the decision of the Jewish Community of Thessaloniki, while striving to avoid the risk of the occurrence or spread of the COVID-19, and aiming to protect the vulnerable groups.

There had been a recommendation by the Central Broad of Jewish Communities to all Jewish communities in Greece to temporarily suspend all mass gatherings at synagogues, community centers or other similar locations.
