Transfiguration of the Lord in Komagovina monastery

Each year, on the feast day of the Transfiguration of the Lord, the church slava of  the Komagovina monastery in Banija, a great number of people gather who  together celebrate the slava, so the same was  this year.

The Hierarchal Divine Liturgy was served by His Grace Bishop Gerasim of Gornji Karlovac with the concelebration of hieromonk Naum, presbyter Nikola Malobabic and Slavko Sarac.

According to a custom regarding this feast day, grapes and the slava wheat were blessed, and the slava cake was cut. After blessing the grapes and wheat, the Bishop addressed the believers. After the Liturgy there was a table of love, prepared for all present believers.

The monastery of Komogovina is a spiritual centre of Banija and the Orthodox of this area.
