Visit to Cathedral church of St. Nicholas in Karlovac

As the part of a field work, which was aimed at exploring the old town center of Karlovac (the star of Karlovac), hundreds of pupils of the Primary school Recica from Recica, led by their teachers, visited on November 25, 2011 the Cathedral church  of St. Nicholas.

Besides the exploring the old part of the Town of Karlovac, the goal of the field work was to form in pupils an ability of a deeper understanding and an evaluation of culture and civilization in which they live, as well as to help in shaping a responsible co-existence with others, establishing a balance between their own personality and the community, in realization of the encounters with people of different religions, customs and traditions.

During an interview with a priest, pupils of the VII and VIII grade had an asignment to learn about the history of the church; division of the Divine Liturgy of the Orthodox Church and attitude toward social problems of violence and abuse.
