Visit of Patriarch Irinej and members of the Holy Synod of Bishops to President and Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia

His Holiness Irinej accompanied by His Eminence Metropolitan Jovan of Zagreb-Ljubljana and members of the Holy Synod of Bishops Their Graces Bishops Vasilije of Srem, Irinej of Backa and Jovan of Sumadija on the second day of his visit, on June 8, 2012 visited President of the Republic of Croatia Mr. Ivo Josipovic and Prime Minister of Croatia Mr. Zoran Milovanovic. 

President Ivo Josipovic said that the visit of Serbian Patriarch Irinej and members of the Holy Synod of Bishops was important event that contributes to peace and friendship among people, religions and nations, especially in this difficult time.

On the same day the delegation of the Serbian Orthodox Church led by Patriarch Irinej at the Marko square was welcomed by Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Croatia Mr. Zoran Milanovic. Along with the president of the Government there was also Minister of Justice and the president of the Commission for relations with the religious communities Mr. Orsat Miljenic. 

Greeting the prominent guests, Prime Minister Milanovic pointed out the satisfaction with the visit and introduction with Patriarch Irinej.
