Pentecost holiday in churches of the Serbian Orthodox Church

Mostar -  On Sunday, June 3, 2012 Holy Pentecost was celebrated, when the bells from the Cathedral church in Mostar was heard again after two decades. The Divine Liturgy was served by Bishop Grigorije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina with the concelebration of heugomen Danilo of Zitomislic, heugomen Sava of Tvrdos, protopresbyter-staurophor Aleksa Zubac of Nevesinje and all the priesthood of Deanery of Mostar-Neretva. 

The Liturgy was attended by other religious communities, representatives of the public life of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as many faithful from all parts of the Diocese and Diaspora. 

Wuppertal - On the feast of the Descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles, His Grace Bishop Konstantine of Middle Europe served the Divine Liturgy in the church of the Nativity of Most Holy Theotokos in Wuppertal. The church municipality in Wuppertal was founded in 1992, separating from the Church municipality in Dusseldorf. It has a church and church centre bought from the Evangelical Church and redesigned for a new purpose. The church was consecrated by Bishop Konstantine in 1997.

Vinkovci - The Diocese of Vinkovci solemnly marked the feast of Pentecost with the Divine Liturgy which was served by protopresbyter-staurophor Dusan Kolundzic, parish Predrag Azap and protonamesnik Miljen Ilic from Tenje.

Melbourn - The Cathedral church of Holy Trinity in Branswick (Melbourn) celebrated its slava with the Divine Liturgy led by His Grace Bishop Irinej, with the concelebration of local priests. 

Ozerkovici - His Eminence Metropolitan Nikolaj of Dabrobosna served on the feast of the Decent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles the Divine Liturgy in the monastery of Holy Trinity in Ozerkovici near Sokolac. This feast is also the slava of the monastery, so after the Liturgy there was a procession around the church, after which the slava wheat was blessed and the slava cake was cut.

Bjelovar - On the feast of the Decent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and Sts. Emperor Constantine and Empress Helen Metropolitan Jovan of Zagreb-Ljubljana served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church of Holy Trinity in Bjelovar. He was concelebrated by local priests.

Banjaluka - On the occasion of the Descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles in the Cathedral church of Christ the Saviour the Holy Liturgy was served, and then the slava cake was blessed in honour and the glory Holy Empress Constantine and Helen, the church slava of SOS "Unity". 

Novi Sad - The feast of Holy Pentecost, the Descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles solemnly was celebrated in Novi Sad. In the church of St. George the Holy Liturgy was served by His Grace Bishop Irinej of Backa. On Pentecost Tuesday, Bishop Irinej of Backa led the Liturgy in Novi Sad's church of St. George.

Strojice - The feast of the Descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles was prayerfully celebrated in the parish of Strojice. On Pentecost Monday His Grace Bishop Hrizostom of Bihac-Petrovas served the Holy Liturgy n the church of the Nativity of Most Holy Theotokos.

Brezojevica - The monastery of Brezojevica, near Plav celebrated on Sunday, June 3 on the feast of the Descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles it slava. The Holy Hierarchal Liturgy was served by His Grace Bishop Joanikije of Budimlje-Niksic. Манастир Брезојевица, код Плава прославио је у недјељу 3. јуна на празник Силаска Светог Духа на апостоле своју славу. Свету Архијерејску Литургију служио је Његово Преосвештенство Епископ будимљанско-никшићки Г. Јоаникије уз саслужење јеромонаха Георгија, игумана Манастира, оца Епифанија, игумана манастира Златеш, јереја Жељана Савића, пароха горњеполимског и гусињског, јеромонаха Антонија и јерођакона Агапита, сабраће манастира Ђурђеви Ступови.

Obrenovac - His Grace Bishop Milutin of Valjevo led the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy on the feast of the Descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles - Pentecost, in Obrenovac. 

Valjevo – Pentecost Monday, the slava of the city of Valjevo, was solemnly celebrated with the slava procession which happened after the Divine Liturgy, led by Bishop Milutin of Valjevo. 

Dalmatia - The feast of the Descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles was solemnly celebrated in all church municipalities and monasteries of the Diocese of Dalmatia. His Grace Bishop Fotije of Dalmatia served the Divine Liturgy in the cathedral church in Sibenik. 

Gacko - In Gacko the feast of the Descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles was festively celebrated - it is also the slava of the Cathedral church and the Municipality of Gacko. The Divine Liturgy was served by Bishop Atansije (Jevtic) with the concelebration of local priests.

Herzegovina - With the evening service the Holy Trinity fest began in the monastery of Dobricevo. After the liturgy a rich cultural and competition programme began. 

Diocese of Zvornik-Tuzla - His Grace Bishop Vasilije of Zvornik-Tuzla served on Pentecost Tuesday the Divine Liturgy in the church of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos in Mladikovinama.

Ohio – His Grace Bishop Mitrofan of East America, on the feast of Holy Trinity, on the ocasion of the parish slava, served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in Youngstown. 

Canada - His Grace Bishop George of Canada visited last weekend parishes in the province of Quebec - Sherebrooke and Montreal. He visited on Saturday, June 2, the parish of Sherebrooke, one of the youngest parishes, where in the newly built church of St. Symeon the Myrrh-Streaming served the Holy Liturgy. On Sunday, June 3, on the feast of Pentecost, the slava of the church in Montreal, Bishop George served the Divine Liturgy in Montreal.

Kosovo and Metohija - With the blessing of the Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren, monks of the monastery of Decani served the Divine Liturgy on the feast of Pentecost on the ruins of the monastery of Holy Trinity near Suva Reka. It is thirteen years since the destruction of the monastery, and since the last year with the blessing of the Bishop serving of the Holy Liturgy and celebrating of the church slava had been permitted. 

Leskovac - On the second day of the feast of Pentecost His Grace Bishop Dr Jovan of Nis visited Leskovac and on the ocasion of the town slava in the church of Holy Trinity with the priesthood of the town of Leskovac served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy. After the Liturgy there was a solemn procession through the streets of the town. 

Vlasotince - On the third day of the feast of Pentecost His Grace Bishop Dr Jovan of Nis made a canonical visit to Vlasotince and in the town's church of Holy Trinity  served the Holy Liturgy along with the priesthood of the Nis Diocese. 

Venezuela - Presbyter Aleksandar Djurdjevic on Pentecost served the Divine Liturgy in Maracaya in the church of St. John the Baptist. Maracaya is 130 km away from Caracas and here there is the largest colony of Serbs.
