Association "Serbian Chetniks of Australia" celebrated its Patron Feast's Day

On Saturday, February 19th 2011, the Association "Serbian Chetniks of Australia" (SCA) from Sidney celebrated its first Patron Saint's Day (slava). After the model of the chetnik organization from the beginning of the 20th century, the SCA as its Patron Saint's Day celebrates the Meeting of the Lord and with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Irinej.

The celebration commenced with a vesper service in St. Nicholas church in Blacktown. Blacktown is actually a "spiritual seat" of this organization. Protopresbyter-staurophor Nikola Bilic served with the concelebration of presbyter Aleksandar Milutinovic and deacons Branko Vasilic and Nemanja Mrdjenovic.

Among distinguished guests there were acting General consul of Serbia Mrs. Jasmina Pekmezovic and many representatives of church-school congregations, religious and national organizations.
