Cypriot President’s visit to Pope Francis and invitation for a return Pontifical visit

An invitation to Pope Francis to visit Cyprus, which was accepted and will be settled next year, was addressed today by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, who paid an official visit to the Holy See.

Accompanied by his wife Andri Anastasiades and members of the Cypriot delegation, President Anastasiades arrived this morning at the Vatican, where he was formally welcomed.

The Children’s Hospital is marking its 150th anniversary this year, and Pope Francis expressed the Holy See’s unwavering support for this “venerable Institution.”Meeting with the administration, staff, doctors, nurses, and paramedics on Saturday, the Pope described the founding of Italy’s first children’s hospital in 1869 as “an intuition and a gift.”

The Anglican–Oriental Orthodox International Commission held its eighth meeting from the 28th of October to the 1st of November 2019 at All Saints Anglican Cathedral, Cairo, Egypt.

A State-Religious Delegation of the Republic of Serbia is making an official visit to Indonesia from 21 to 26 October 2019 in order to participate in the Fourth Bilateral Interfaith Dialogue between Serbia and Indonesia.

The conference is being held in Yogyakarta, a city in southwestern Indonesia. The State-Delegation of the Republic of Serbia arrived in Yogyakarta on October 22, 2019.
