Cleveland Deanery Presanctified Liturgy
With the blessing of His Grace Irinej, Bishop of Eastern America, St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church in Akron, Ohio hosted the Cleveland Deanery for the Liturgy of Presanctified Gifts.
Despite treacherous weather conditions including snow, wind, and hail, faithful from all over the Deanery gathered for Presanctified Liturgy on Friday, March 17th. Concelebrating were the Very Rev. Protopresbyter-Stavrophor Djordje Mileusenic and the Rev. Presbyter Aleksa Pavichevich. The beauty of the service was magnified as many children joined in the singing of the responses, and so many faithful from the St. Archangel Michael community in Akron, Ohio prepared for and received Holy Communion.
All enjoyed fellowship in the parish hall following services where hospitality was extended to all those present in the form of a warm, Lenten meal on a cold and snowy day.
In addition to the concelebrants, clergy and monastics drove from afar for prayer and fellowship, including host-priest, the Very Rev. Protopresbyter Milan Pajic of St. Archangel Michael; the Rev. Presbyter Dragan Goronjic, Dean of Cleveland and parish priest at Holy Trinity in Youngstown; the Ven. Protosindjel Sava (Medakovic) of New Marcha Monastery; the Very Rev. Protopresbyter Dragoslav Kosic of St. Sava in Parma; the Rev. Presbyter Vedran Grabic from St. George in Hermitage; and Sister Anastasije of New Marcha Monastery.
