Construction of hydropower plants on the Moraca undoubtedly endangers Monastery Moracha

”Construction of hydropower plants on the Moraca undoubtedly would endanger the Monastery Moracha which has immense cultural - historical significance," which is the attitude of the most participants in the roundtable on" Hydropower plants and vulnerability of the Monastery Moracha.” The meeting was held on Thursday March 25, 2010, organized by the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral, at the hotel "Bambis" in Podgorica, on the occasion of the announcement of a construction of large hydropower plants on the river Moraca.

His Eminence Archbishop Amfilohije of Cetinje and Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral  said that no one questions the importance of economic reasons for the construction of the hydropower plant on the Moracha, but the question remains whether they can and must be conclusive.
