Diocese of Krusevac is established
On the day when our Church celebrates Saints Cyrus and John the Wonderworking Unmercenaries on February 13, 2011 a new diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church was formed in a former capital city of St. Tsar Lazar, Krushevac. The decision about establishing was made on the autumn session of the SOC. His Grace Bishop Jovan of Sumadija, was welcomed brotherly and with honor at the Cathedral church of St. George the Great Martyr, where a doxology was served and a founding council was held later. His Grace Bishop Jovan will be an administrator of the Diocese of Krusevac until spring session of the Assembly of the SOC, on which bishops will choose Bishop of this diocese.
