ANNOUNCEMENT
Inter-Orthodox Vespers on Sunday of Orthodoxy

This year, on the evening of the Sunday of Orthodoxy, the Orthodox Churches in Australia, are organizing an Inter-Orthodox Vespers Service, during which all Orthodox Christians in Sydney and District are given the opportunity to pray together and jointly declare their Orthodox Faith with a Procession of ICONS around the Church.

This year, the Inter-Orthodox Vespers of Orthodoxy will be held on Sunday, 9 March 2014, at 7.00pm at the Church of St Nicholas, 203 Livingstone Rd, Marrickville.

His Eminence Archbishop STYLIANOS will officiate, assisted by Bishops and Clergy of the other Orthodox jurisdictions, with the participation of all our Sydney Clergy and faithful.

Towards the end of Vespers, a Procession of the ICONS will take place, after which an excerpt from the Synodikon of the Seventh Ecumenical Council will be read in various languages of the Orthodox communities in Sydney.

All our faithful are invited to participate in this Inter-Orthodox celebration of the Sunday of Orthodoxy.
