First Belgrade Choral Society in Himmelsthür
With the blessing of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, and under the patronage of His Grace Bishop Sergije of Frankfurt and All Germany, the solemn concert of the First Belgrade Choral Society was held in the monastery of the Dormition of The Most Holy Mother of God in Himmelsthür.
Before the concert, the Vesper was officiated by protopresbyter-staurophor Petar Lukic, the principal of the Cathedral church of Holy Archangel Michael in Belgrade and president of the First Belgrade Choral Society, with the concelebration of protodeacon Radomir Percevic.
The repertoire of the oldest Belgrade’s choir included liturgical compositions of famous Serbian and Russian composers. The First Belgrade Choral Society is on a concert tour in the Diocese of Frankfurt and All Germany, and it is visiting church-school communities of Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Himmelsthür and Berlin.
