In Glory and Honour of Saint Simeon the Myrrh-Gusher

With the blessing of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, the 21st Saint Simeon Academy was held at Kolarac National University, which was organized by Dobrocinstvo, the pilgrim agency of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

His Grace  Bishop Porfirije of Jegar delivered a speech in which pointed out that by celebrating the great jubilee of the proclamation of the Constantine’s Edict we left in shadow a great church and national jubilee – 9oo years since the birth of Stefan Nemanja, the founder of the Serbian state and the first strong unifier of divided nobility and secessionist oriented elite.

His Grace Bishop Andrej of Remesiana,  Mr. Bratislav Petkovic, Minister of Culture and Information; representatives of the Government of Serbia; ministries of cultural and educational institutions were present at the solemn academy at the Great Hall of Kolarac National University.

Choir „Obilic“,  ACS „Branko Krsmanovic“ and actor Nebojsa Dugalic participated at the academy.
