IAO one-day conference on World War II – ‘Christian viewpoint: 70 years Later’ held

Dusseldorf: The Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy (I.A.O.) organized a one-day conference with subject: «World War II – Christian viewpoint: 70 years later». Distinguished personalities from Christian Churches and communities, politicians and diplomats were invited and presented speeches on the main subject of the conference.

His Eminence Metropolitan Avgoustinos of Germany and Exarch of Central Europe, conveyed greeting message of His All Holiness The Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

The conference was realized at the Parish of the Orthodox Church of Apostle St. Andreas.

The opening of the conference was declared by the I.A.O. Secretary General, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Ioannis Amanatidis, who also presented a speech on the main subject of the conference. A greeting address was also presented by the representative of the Mayor of Dusseldorf.
