Imperial look of Bolshoi

The Bolshoi Theatre, the Russian temple of opera and ballet  after six years of the reconstruction on October 28 will solemnly open the main door to receive the highest guests. Actually, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs got a task to invite to this event the most eminent guests, among those also state officials from many countries.

The building of the most famous Russian theater had to "general overhaul" because the river began to erode the foundations. The hardest part of the work was to solve permanently the problem with the water of the river which stream bed had been transformed into the concrete and the top was covered with asphalt. . However,  because they shut it Neglinka "avenged" itself  through cracks on the foundations. 

The contractors argue that such reconstruction has not done to date anywhere in the world as confirmed by representatives of the UNESCO. The main principle was to preserve the old and what needs to be replaced to be made of the same material as before when, after the great fire in the 19th century th eBolshoi was restored. Also the lobby floors were restored and they look like the old days, covered with Venetian mosaics. Under the earth is made new space - for chamber music, buffet ...
