Monastery of St. Archdeacon Stephen in Slanci celebrated its Patron's Feast Day

On Sunday, August 15, 2010 in the monastery of St. Stephen the First martyr and Archdeacon in Slanci near Belgrade, the Patron's feast day was formally celebrated. His Grace Vicar Bishop Atanasije served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy with the concelebration of priesthood of the regency of Vracar-Grocka.

Bishop conveyed the greetings from His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch to archimandrite Andrej Jovicic and the brotherhood of the monastery.

The monastery church built in 1974, was to small to receive 1000 guests who filled the church courtyard and an improvised eaves which protected from the sun. Later all the guests enjoyed the prepared luncheon.
