Montenegro without ministry of faith
The Government of Montenegro does not plan to create ministry of faith, vicepresident of the Government Dusko Markovic said in the Montenegrin parliament. In his answer to a question of the member of assembly from New Serbian Democracy party Budimir Aleksic said that "a special sector" would be formed in the existing ministry for human and minority rights, which would deal with religious communities.
Aleksic said that the Montenegrin society was " statistically high religious society", because on the census in April of this year 72 percent citizens said that they belong to Orthodoxy, 18 percent to Islam, and 3 percent Catholicism. Because of that, Aleksic emphasized, a special ministry of faith should exist so as the communication with religious communities would be regular.
