On Wednesday 1st November 2017, the dome of the elevated Holy Cathedral in Doha was concreted. The Holy Cathedral of St. Isaac and St. George has the architectural form of a cross-in-square Basilica with a dome, covering a total area of 634 m². The height of the dome is 17.50m., and it can accommodate 800 people.  By the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ the construction work is proceeding well, and by the prayers of the Saints we aim for the completion of the project within the next year.

Siberian Airline to name planes after saints

The Russian airline IrAero, based in Irkutsk and Omsk, has decided to name the planes of its new Sukhoi Superjet 100 fleet after several great saints, including apostles and great Russian saints, reports aviaport.ru.

“Our air fleet has been replenished with nine Russian-made airplanes. Together with the Irkutsk Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church, the names of nine saints were chosen,” a message from the airline’s press service reads. The nine planes were acquired in 2016 and 2017.

Yesterday evening (Thursday October 26) a historic agreement between the Anglican and Oriental–Orthodox Churches was signed in Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin. The ‘Dublin Agreement’ is the result of two years’ work by the Anglican Oriental–Orthodox International Commission on an agreed text on the Holy Spirit that will be linked to the mission of the Church.

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine accompanied by HRH Prince Dimitri of Yugoslavia, Ms. Christina Oxenberg, daughter of HRH Princess Elizabeth of Yugoslavia, HRH Crown Princess Katherine’s sister Ms. Betty Roumeliotis and her son Mr. Gregory Roumeliotis, along with Lifeline New York, hosted the 7th Annual Benefit Luncheon to raise funds for medical equipment for children’s hospitals in Serbia at Le Cirque in New York.

State deputy calls for ban on Satanic Church of Russia

First Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on Public Associations and Religious Organizations Ivan Sukharev has sent a request to the Prosecutor General to take action against in the Satanic Church of the Russian Federation. According to the deputy, the organization’s activities offend the religious sensibilities of Russian citizens adhering to traditional faiths, and commits serious crimes, reports Russia Today.

HRH Crown Princess Katherine has been making huge efforts for over 25 years to help Serbia and its people regardless of religion or ethnic origin, through the work of Princess Katherine Foundation in Belgrade as well as Lifeline Humanitarian Organizations in London, New York, Chicago, Toronto and Athens, whose patron she is.
