Celebration of Saint Sava's Day on the Faculty of Theology in Belgrade

The feast of Saint Sava, the first Archbishop of Serbia was celebrated with the Holy Liturgy and the solemn academy at the Faculty of Theology.

The feast of Saint Sava was solemnly celebrated in Banja Luka

His Grace Jefrem, Bishop of Banja Luka celebrated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the Cathedral church of Christ the Saviour in Banja Luka on 27 January 2020, on the feast of Saint Sava. 

After the Liturgy the rite of blessing and breaking the slava cake. As in previous years, in a spirit of the Saint Sava's tradition there was reciting and giving of gifts to the youngerst members of the Church, among which there were children from the Orthodox kindergarten "Little Angel''.

The feast day of Saint John the Baptist in Novi Sad

His Grace Bishop Irinej of Backa celebrated his patron saint on 20 January 2020, on Saint John’s Day.

Bishop Irinej of Backa officiated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy with the concelebration of Their Graces Bishops Pahomije of Vranje, David of Krusevac, Arsenije of Nis, Heruvim of Osek-Polje and Baranja and Isihije of Mohacs; Archimandrites Jovan (Radosavljevic) and Prokopije (Tajar), clergy and deacons from many dioceses of the SOC, in the church of Saint George in Novi Sad.

On the feast of Theophany, January 19, 2020, His Grace Bishop of Budim and administrator of Timisoara Lukijan traditionally celebrated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the Church of the Translation of the Relics of St. Nicholas at Sokolovac, Romania. Local clergy concelebrated to the Bishop.

Theophany in Kosovska Mitrovica: Swimming for the Cross in the Gazivode Lake

On the feast of the Theophany of the Lord, 19 January 2020, His Grace Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren celebrated the Holy Liturgy in the church of Holy Great Martyr Demetrius in Kosovska Mitrovica.

He was concelebrated by many priests of the Diocesan Deanery of Mitrovica, and the church was full of faithful and children who received the holy Communion. At the end of the Liturgy the Bishop performed the rite of blessing water and blessed a thousand of believers with it. Following the holy Liturgy, Bishop Teodosije attended traditional swimming for the Precious Cross in the Gazivode Lake. Bishop Teodosije along with the clergy blessed all the present who participated in the traditionional swimming for the Cross and held an address.

A  decade since the election of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, as the 45^th primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church marked in the ceremonial hall of the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade, on 22 January 2020.
