Serbian Patriarch celebrated in the monastery of the Presentation of the Mother of God

July 2021 - 9:14His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch officiated the Holy Liturgy in the monastery of the Entry of the Most Holy Mother of God into the Temple in Belgrade, on 25 July 2021, on the feast day of the Miraculous Icon of the Most Holy Mother of God the Three-Handed and Holy Martyrs Proclus and Hilarius.
The Patriarch was concelebrated by Bishop Jerotej of Toplica, elected Bishops Justin of Hvosno and Sava of Marca, protosyncelli Danilo (Gavranovic) and Nektarije (Djuric), protopresbyter-staurophors Milovan Glogovac and Milosav Radojevic, presbyter Cedomir Milosavljevic and deacons Radomir Vrucinic and Vladan Tatalovic.
Bishop Arsenije celebrated the solemn celebration in Prokuplje
23. July 2021 - 19:37His Grace Bishop Arsenije of Nis served on July 21, 2021, when the Church prayerfully celebrates the Holy Greatmartyr Procopius, the Holy Liturgy in the church dedicated to this wonderful saint in Prokuplje.
His Grace Bishop was concelebrated by priests and hieromonks from several dioceses of the Serbian Orthodox Church. The singing of the choir of the Prokuplje church contributed to the beauty of the service.
Serbian Patriarch receives Director of the Office for Cooperation with the Diaspora and the Serbs in the region
23. July 2021 - 16:17His Holiness Porfirije, the Serbian Patriarch, received Director of the Office for Cooperation with the Diaspora and the Serbs in the Region Mr. Arnaud Gouillon at the Patriarchate Palace in Belgrade on 21 July 2021.
During the meeting with Director Gouillon, the primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church discussed projects that promote cooperation and ties between Serbs in the world, the region and the homeland. Patriarch Porfirije expressed satisfaction that the Serbian Orthodox Church has a key role in that process and stressed the importance of holy worship, religious education and the Serbian language, folklore events and spiritual and scientific lectures in Serbian Orthodox churches around the world.
The Serbian Patriarch received Ministry of Rural Welfare and the President of the SASA Committee for the Village
23. July 2021 - 15:13His Holiness Porfirije, the Serbian Patriarch, received Minister of Rural Welfare Mr. Milan Krkobabic and President of the Academic Committee for the Village, SASA academician Dragan Skoric, at the Patriarchate Palace in Belgrade on 21 July 2021.
During the meeting with Minister Krkobabic and academician Skoric, the Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church pointed out that he was happy because the state of Serbia recognized the importance of caring for the village and initiated mechanisms for systemically solving problems that hinder or prevent the survival of people in villages. According to Patriarch Porfirije, who as the abbot of the Kovilj monastery gained decades of experience in managing the monastery's agricultural farm, there are many open questions regarding the survival of the village, to which adequate answers must be found with the participation of all relevant factors. The Patriarch emphasized that the Serbian Orthodox Church will help according to all available possibilities.
Serbian Patriarch receives Ambassador of Bulgaria
23. July 2021 - 8:34His Holiness Porfirije, the Serbian Patriarch, received His Excellency Petko Doykov, Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Serbia at the Patriarchate Palace in Belgrade on 21 July 2021.
In a cordial conversation between the Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Ambassador of Bulgaria, the importance of all-around work on strengthening good relations between the two peoples on all issues and at all levels was emphasized. On the same occasion, Ambassador Doykov conveyed to Patriarch Porfirije the fraternal greetings of His Holiness Patriarch Neophyte of Bulgaria
Serbian patriarch receives Georgian diplomat
23. July 2021 - 8:07His Holiness Porfirije, the Serbian Patriarch, received Ilija Koberidze, Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Georgia to the Republic of Greece with a mission in Belgrade, at the Patriarchate Palace in Belgrade on 20 July 2021.
In a cordial conversation with the Georgian diplomat, the Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church emphasized the importance of good relations between the peoples of Serbia and Georgia, which are close both in faith and in the culture that is Christian in foundation. His Excellency Koberidze emphasized that in the Republic of Serbia he feels at home with his people and that is why he invests a great effort in the development of tourism and pilgrimages between Serbia and Georgia in order to get to know the two peoples better.
