Serbian Patriarch Porfirije in the Diocese of Gornji Karlovac

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch will serve the Holy Liturgy in the Cathedral church of Saint Nicholas of Myra in Karlovac, on 17 July 2021, on the feast of Holy Martyr Sava of Gornji Karlovac, the Patron of the Diocese of Gornji Karlovac.

Bishop Grigorije in Friedrichshafen and Munich

His Grace Bishop Grigorije of Dusseldorf and All Germany celebrated the Holy Hierarchical Liturgy in the church of Holy Serbian New Martyrs in Friedrichshafen on 11 July 2021.

In the prayerful presence of the faithful people of the parish, the Bishop was concelebrated by the protopresbyter-staurophor Milorad Jovanovic, the competent parish priest, the protodeacon Milorad Marijanovic and the deacon Dejan Ristic. On the feast of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, His Grace Bishop Grigorije served the Holy Hierarchical Liturgy in the church of St. John Vladimir in Munich.

Serbian Patriarch receives ambassadors of Canada and Australia

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch received His Excellency Giles Norman, Ambassador of Canada, and Her Excellency Ruth Stuart, Ambassador of Australia to the Republic of Serbia at the Patriarchate palace in Belgrade, on 13 July 2021.

The primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the ambassadors of Canada and Australia talked about Serbian emigrants and refugees who found their new home in Canada and Australia, where they built Orthodox churches and monasteries to meet their spiritual needs and preserve the religious tradition of their ancestors.

Serbian Patriarch received Ambassador of Egypt

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch received His Excellency Amr Aljowaly, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Serbia at the Patriarchate Palace in Belgrade on 13 July 2021. 

In a cordial conversation between Serbian Patriarch Porfirije and Ambassador Aljowaly, the friendly ties between the people of Serbia and Egypt were emphasized. In this regard, His Excellency Aljowaly informed His Holiness Patriarch of the projects that have been realized in the past few years, as well as those that are planned, and which deepen the friendly ties between the two peoples at all levels.

Hierarchical Liturgy and ordination in the monastery of Grabovo

His Grace David of Krusevac served the Holy Hierarchical Liturgy in the monastery of Grabovo on 12 July 2021, on the feast day of Sts. Peter and Paul the Apostles.

In a prayerful presence of the head of the monastery, nun Agapija, the Bishop was concelebrated by Diocesan dean of Razanj protopresbyter Vladica Stolic, parish of Bosnjan archpriest Aleksandar Lukic, parish priest of Krusevac presbyter Andrija Jelic, parish priest of Vitosevo-Podorac presbyter Dejan Savic, as well as deacons Nenad Matic, Ivan Petronijevic, Andrija Lazarevic and Boris Simonovic.

The feast day of Sts Peter and Paul in Cathedral church in Novi Sad

Bishop Irinej: After suffering, calvary, torment and trouble, the apostles are the first. The essence of their primacy is that they serve everyone else, and no one serves them. By serving others - their neighbors - they serve God, and by serving the Living God, they serve, therefore, their neighbors as well. To be the first means: to make the greatest sacrifice, to serve everyone and, through that, to serve the Lord Christ, Who made Himself, as Lord and the Lord of everything and everyone, the Servant of the Lord, the Servant of our salvation and the salvation of all creation.

His Grace Bishop Irinej of Novi Sad and Backa officiated the Holy Hierarchical Liturgy in the Cathedral church in Novi Sad on the feast day of Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, on Monday, 12 July 2021. His Grace Bishop Irinej was concelebrated by the clergy of the Cathedral church and deacons of Novi Sad.
