Patriarch Irinej consecrates church in Padez near Krusevac

In a day when our Church celebrates Saint martyr Irinej Bishop Of Lyon, His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch serves the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church of the Holy Protection of the Theotokos in a village of Padez near Krusevac.

His Holiness was concelebrated with the priests and deacons from the Nis and Timok Diocese and heugomen of the monastery of Naupara f. Damaskin. In this way the hundred years of existence and mission of this church was celebrated in the best way. This church was built with a blessing of Bishop Nikanor of Nis of that time on the foundations of the old church from the Middle ages. 

Many believers gathered in the courtyard, and after the Liturgy His Holiness held a sermon.
