Patron Saint's Day of Royal family of Karageorgevich

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Princess Katherine celebrated yesterday the the Royal Family Patron Saint Day of Saint Andrew the First Called in the Royal Palace in Belgrade. In the Royal chapel of St. Andrew the First Called the Divine Liturgy was served by His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch with the concelebration of His Grace Bishop Jovan of Sumadija and priests of the Serbian Orthodox Church. 

After the Liturgy and cutting the slava cake, there was a lunch hosted by the Royal family. Besides Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Princess Katherine, Sir Desmond De Silva and Mr. Austin Prichard, the slava lunch was attended by His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, Their Graces Bishops Lavrentije of Sabac, Ignjatije of Branicevo, Jovan of Sumadija, Pahomije of Vranje, Vasilije of Zvornik-Tuzla, Atanasije of Hvosno, as well as representatives of other churches and religious communities in Serbia.  

In the afternoon and evening two Slava receptions took place at The White Palace at which Their Royal Highnesses welcomed representatives of the Government, Diplomatic Corps, Advisory Bodies of the Crown, as well as the city and town Mayors, academics, representatives of the Armed Forces, Gendarmerie, monarchy clubs, international organizations, cultural institutions, sports associations, media representatives, health institutions, and numerous distinguished persons from the cultural, political, business, academic and public life of Serbia.
