Procession through the streets of Bar in glory and honour of St. Jovan Vladimir
After the Holy service of God, which was on Saturday, June 4 in the Prechista Krajinska Monastery in Ostros was served by His Eminence Amfilohije Archbishop of Cetinje and Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoralw with priesthood, the celebration of the feast day continued with a holiday procession in the afternoon which went through the streets of Bar, led by Metropolitan Amfilohije and Bishop Joanikije of Budimlje-Niksic.
Before the procession there was a consecration of the cross at the south side chapel of the St. Jovan Vladimir church, and nine bells which had been earlier delivered from Voronyez in Russia.
„ Kissing the precious cross of St. Jovan Vladimir, which has led us for centuries, today we have kissed and consecrated also this new cross, which is going to shine on this Holy church from today onwards.", Metropolitan Amfilohije said to the citizens of Bar and other participants of this celebration.
Also there was a magnificent fireworks from the dome of the Cathedral church of St. Jovan Vladimir.
