Prof. Dr. Gerhard Robbers in the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch along with His Grace Bishop Irinej of Backa received today in the Patriarchate court in Belgrade prof. Dr. Gerhard Robbers, the member of the Constitutional Court of Germany and director of the Institute for European Constitutional Law. The reception was attended by prof. Dr. Bogoljub Sijakovic,minister of Faith of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Dragan Curovic, state secretary of the Ministry of faith and Dr. Sima Avramovic, professor of the Faculty of Law in Belgrade.

Prof. Robbers, as a leading expert of the European Union for relations between State and Church, he met His Holiness Patriarch Irinej with a written opinion that, in terms of assessing the constitutionality of certain regulations of the Law on Churches and Religious Communities at the Constitutional Court of Serbia, made by the request of the traditional Churches and religious communities.
