Feast Day of Sts. Sergius & Bacchus the Martyrs in Sremcica

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, celebrated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church of Holy Trinity in Sremcica on the feast day of Saints Sergius and Bacchus the Martyrs, on 20 October 2019. (phоzo gallery).

In the monastery of the Pec Patriarchate the patron saint day of the monastery - the Protection of the Most Holy Mother of God, was solemnly celebrated.

With the blessing of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, the Holy Liturgy was officiated by His Grace Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren with the concelebration of Their Graces Bishops Kiril of Buenos Aires and South-Central America and Stefan of Remesiana, Vicar Bishop of the Patriarch, as well as of twenty priests from several dioceses of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch received a newly appointed Ambassador of Great Britain to the Republic of Serbia Her Excellency Sian MacLeod at the Serbian Patriarchate on 15 October 2019.

Within the central celebration of the jubilee of the eight centuries of the autocephaly of the Serbian Orthodox Church, His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch opened a monumental exhibition “The Eight Centuries of Art under the auspices of the Serbian Orthodox Church” in the Museum of the Serbian Orthodox Church on 9 October 2019.

The exhibition is organized with the blessing of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, and members of the Holy Synod of Bishops with support of the Ministry of Culture and Information, Ministry of Justice, the Office for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities, Secretariate for Culture of the City of Belgrade and other institutions. The exhibition is accompanied by the 157-page with a more than hundred illustrations in color by the author Dr. Miljana Matic, curator of the Museum of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
