Audience with Mayor of South Euclid, Ohio

With the blessings of His Grace Irinej, Bishop of Eastern America, Hiermonk Maksim (Ilic), spiritual father of New Marcha Monastery, visited Mayor Georgine Welo of the City of South Euclid. During this two-hour visit, Fr. Maksim presented the new plans for the building project of New Marcha Monastery, which was of great interest to the Mayor. The two also discussed the possibility of creating sister cities between South Euclid and Kraljevo. Mayor Georgine Welo spoke of her recent visit to Serbia, including her experiences with the people of Serbia and future joint projects.

In The Name of The Holy and Lifegiving Trinity!

We, the clergy, monastics, and representatives of the people of God, ordained and elected members to the Annual Assembly of the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Eastern America, Serbian Orthodox Church, have gathered together at the Church of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker in the God-protected City of Monroeville, Pennsylvania, on February 22 and 23, in the Year of Our Lord 2019.

Serbian State leadership received in audience by the Serbian Patriarch

His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej received Mr. AleksandarVucic, President of the Republic of Serbia; Mrs. Ana Brnabic, President of the Government of the Republic of Serbia; Mr. Ivica Dacic, First Vice President of the Government and Minister of Foreign Affairs as well as Mr. Nikola Selakovic, Secretary General of the President of the Republic of Serbia. The reception took place at the Serbian Patriarchate on 10 March 2019.

On the Church side, the conversations were attended by members of the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church: Metropolitan Porfirije of Zagreb-Ljubljana and Bishops Irinej of Backa, Jovan of Sumadija and Milutin of Valjevo.

The Serbian Patriarch in the Diocese of Nis

His Holiness Irinej visited this Diocese on the occasion of the scientific conference “Orthodox monasticism”, in honor of the 70^th anniversary of the monastic life of Very Venerable Archimandrite Dionisije (Pantelic) on 7 March 2019.

The Serbian Patriarch was welcomed by His Grace Bishop Arsenije of Nis with clergy and monastics of the Diocese of Nis, whereupon he attended the Vesper service in the Cathedral church, officiated by Archimandrite Dionisije with the concelebration of protopresbyter-staurophor Branislav Cincarevic and deacon Djordje Filipovic.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, received on 6 March 2019 representatives of the Association “Friends” of 72^nd Special Brigade and the Association of Veterans of the 63^rd Parachute Brigade at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade.
