On December 30, 2018, the Sunday of the Holy Forefathers, His Grace Bishop Maxim served the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in San Diego, California with the con-celebration of local and guest clergy, Protopresbyter-Stavrophor Miroslav Simijonovic from Zurich, Switzerland, Protopresbyter-Stavrophor Milan Vukovic, retired priest from St. Petka parish in San Marcos, Protopresbyter Bratislav Bratso Krsic, parish priest, Protodeacon Paul Germain and Deacon Vladan Radovanovic with the participation of the faithful.

Kosovo Serbian Men's Choir and Director R. S. Zivic Honored

Singing the responses at the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy in honor of the Patronal Feast at Saint Demetrius Serbian Orthodox Church in Akron, Ohio, on Sunday, November 11, 2018, as well as performing at the festal banquet that followed, was the last time that ‘Kosovo’ Serbian Men's Choir sang under the hand of founding director, Dr. Rick Stevan Zivic of Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Zivic has, who has retired from his dental practice this past September 20, 2018, together with his wife Mary, plans on taking up residence in Florida with occasional visits to Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, and Cleveland, Ohio.

St. Elijah Parish in Aliquippa Observes Festive Sunday During Nativity Fast

The parish of the Holy Prophet Elijah in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania gathered with great activity to observe the Twenty-Ninth Sunday after Pentecost on December 16, 2018. 

The day was permeated by the joyous anticipation that characterizes the season of the Nativity Fast, as the Orthodox faithful of this parish (like those elsewhere) prepare to welcome the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Liturgy in the Dechani monastery

On Sunday, 30 December 2018, the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy was served by Archimandrite Sava, abbot of Dechani, with the concelebration of monks and priests of this monastery, and hieromonk Sava and archpriest Sinisa Jankovic from the Diocese of Budimlje-Niksic, in the Dechani monastery.

Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in Dubrovnik

On Sunday, December 30^th, 2018, the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy was served by His Grace Bishop Dimitrije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina and the Littoral in the church of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Mother of God in Dubrovnik.

It was the first pastoral visit of Bishop Dimitrije to the diocese of Dubrovnik after his enthronement to the throne of bishops of Zahumlje-Herzegovina.

Patron Saint-day of the church of Holy Abbot Paisus and Deacon Avacum

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, celebrated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church dedicated to Belgrade's martyrs Paisus and Avacum in Altina on 30 December 2018, the feast day of Holy Martyrs Paisus and Avacum.

The Patriarch was concelebrated by archpriests Zoran Perkovic, Jevgenji Lehac, Nebojsa Topolic, Slaven Vukomanovic and Georgije Kovac from the Diocese of Mohacev (Ukrain), protonamesnik Rade Jovic and Dragisa Tepavac and others.
