Eastern Region Federation KSS Slava celebration
7. September 2015 - 8:36The Eastern Region Federation of the KSS-Circle of Serbian Sisters celebrates the Feast of the Dormition of the Mother of God each year as the organization’s Slava.
This year the Federation Slava was celebrated at the St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Carmichaels, Pennsylvania on August 28, 2015. The Divine Liturgy was celebrated with the blessing of the Slava Kolac’ and Koljivo.
First SerbFest in Canton
7. September 2015 - 8:33On Saturday, August 29th, the St George Serbian Orthodox community hosted their first-ever Serbian Festival. Starting with offering fresh ‘krofne’ and ‘palacinke’ at 10am, the doors remained open until 9:30pm.
Serbian Patriarch pays visit to USA
4. September 2015 - 14:53His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, has left for the archpastoral visit to the Serbian Orthodox Dioceses in the United States of America and in Canada on 3 September 2015.
His Holiness will stay in America until 24 September 2015. The first and the most important reason for this trip is an official proclamation of newly glorified Equal-to-the-Apostles missionaries of the Serbian origin: Bishop Mardarije (Uskokovic) and Archimandrite Sebastian (Dabovich). The celebrations, on this occasion, will be held on this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, at the seat of the Diocese of Western America in Alhambra (Los Angeles), and everything is organized by His Grace Bishop Dr. Maxim of Western America.
Florida Summer Camp
3. September 2015 - 10:21The St Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in St Petersburg, FL held summer camp, beginning on June 23, and it was held every Tuesday and Thursday through August 13. That is 16 days! This approach seemed too ambitious to some, but it turned out to be just right.
Feast Day Celebration in Sacramento, California

September 2015 - 10:09The Assumption of The Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Fair Oaks, CA, has once again concluded a true celebration in honor of Its Protectress - this year with Bishop Justin of Zhicha, Bishop Maxim of the Western America, Fr Stamatis Skliris from Athens, Fr. Hilarion, Fr. Dane Popovic, Fr. William Weir and Deacon Dragan Stojanovich from Jackson, California.
May God Grant Many Years to each person who assisted in preparation for this historical celebration.
