Gracanica: Sunday of Orthodoxy and Anniversary of the NATO bombing

Throughout the Diocese of Raska-Prizren the Sunday of Orthodoxy and celebration of holy icons was marked. Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren celebrated the Divine Liturgy in Gracanica monastery with the concelebration of the clergy of the Diocesan deanery of Pristina. The celebration was particularly festive in Visoki Decani Monastery where the liturgy attended were hundreds of pilgrims from Republic of Srpska, representatives of the municipalities that twinned with Serbian municipalities on Kosovo and Metohia.

At the Patriarchal chapel of Saint Simeon the Myrrh-Gusher in Belgrade, with the blessing and in the presence of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, His Grace Bishop Andrej of Remesiana celebrated yesterday, on the feast day of the Annunciation to the Most Holy Mother of God according to the Gregorian calendar, the thanksgiving service on the occasion of the Greek national holiday – Liberation day from the Turkish yoke and the remembrance of the liberation uprisings from 1821. Presbyters Panayotis Karatasios, Dimitrios Kasapis and Vladimir Vranic concelebrated to the Bishop.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch talked with Mr. Ivica Dacic, Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and Minister of Internal Affairs, and Mr. Christopher Forbes, Vice Chairman of the Forbes Publishing company on 24 March 2013, at the parish house of the church of Saint Sava on Vracar.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, celebrated yesterday, on the Sunday of Orthodoxy, the Divine Liturgy in the church of Saint Sava on Vracar, as well as the memorial service for the suffered in the 1999 NATO bombing.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, received Mr. Bratislav Petkovic, Minister of Culture and Information, and Mr. Zoran Nedeljkovic, head of the Library of the Serbian Patriarchate on 21 March 2013 at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade. The reception was also attended by Mr. Miroslav Jankovic, the head of the Office of Minister of Culture and Information.
Forgiveness Vespers in Warren Parish

The St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Church in Warren, Ohio hosted the first Lenten Vespers service on the Sunday of Forgiveness for clergy of the Cleveland Deanery (second group), on the very eve of the Great Fast. Serving were V. Rev. Milovan Katanic, Rev. Milan Pajic and Rev. Dragan Goronjic. Also serving was Deacon Ljubisa Mitrovic who also served as the evening's homilist.
