Receptions at Serbian Patriarchate -7 March 2013

Yesterday, on 7 March 2013 , His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch met with Archimandrite Metodije, the Abbot of the Hilandar Monastery, with associates from the Fund of Holy Monastery Hilandar Foundation at  the Serbian Patriarchate.

Abbot Metodije of Hilandar at New Gracanica

On February 17th, 2013, the Liturgy at the New Gracanica Monastery was served by the Abbot of the Hilandar Monastery, Metodije, along with other clergy. Abbot Metodije leads the delegation of the Hilandar Monastery which is visiting New Gracanica.

Two years ago, New Gracanica Monastery became the home of a replica icon of the Three-handed Icon of the Mother of God. At that time, a delegation from the Hilandar Monastery brought the icon, thus establishing a relationship between our two monasteries.

There were several audiences on 6 March 2013 at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch met today in separate visits Velimir Ilic, Minister of Construction and Urbanism and His Excellency Ján Varso, Ambassador of Slovakia to Belgrade.

Bishop Maxim Visits Colorado

Sunday, February 3, 2013 Lakewood, CO—As the sun was settling over the snow-covered peaks of the Rocky Mountains, local priests and a small crowd of faithful Christians awaited the arrival of His Grace Bishop Maxim at Denver International Airport for his pastoral visit to the church community in Lakewood, Colorado.

Audience for cadets at the Serbian Patriarchate on the occasion of the feast of Saint Simeon the Myrrh-Gusher

On the basis of the Annual program of the cooperation of the Committee for religious education of the Archdiocese of Belgrade-Karlovci and the Military Academy, also this year a traditional audience was organized for officers and cadets of the Military Academy on the occasion of the feast of Saint Simeon the Myrrh-Gusher.

National Library marked its day

The National Library of Serbia marked the 181th anniversary of its existence with various manifestations. During the central ceremony a traditional award of the Library was presented for the best among the most read books. This year’s laureate is Slobodan Tisma for his novel Bernardi’s room (Bernardijeva soba).
