I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’ (Luke 15:11-32) Such wonderful lessons could be heard in the sermon of His Grace Bishop Mitrophan of Canada, who, with the blessing of the Serbian Patriarch Mr. Porphyry, served the Holy Hierarch's Liturgy in the Dormition church in the district of Zvezdara, in Belgrade on the Sunday of the Prodigal Son.

The first visit of Vladimir Roganovic to the Diocese of Sumadia

His Grace Bishop Jovan of Sumadia welcomed in his residence Mr. Vladimir Roganovic, PhD, Director of the Office for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities, who visited the Diocese of Sumadija with his assistants for the first time since he was appointed to this high position. 

In a pleasant conversation, the Bishop introduced Mr. Roganovic with what had been done in the Diocese of Sumadia in the previous period. Also, future projects important for both the Diocese and the people of that area were discussed. On this occasion, the Bishop expressed great gratitude for the help that the Diocese of Sumadia has had so far from the Office headed by Mr. Roganovic, as well as hope that in the future the Office will selflessly provide help and support to the Diocese.

His Grace Bishop Joanikije of Budva-Niksic and the administrator of the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral,  together with His  Grace Bishop Dimitrije of Zahumlye-Herzegovina visited the ill Bishop Atanasije, who is being treated at the Trebinje Hospital, due to an illness caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, and is currently in a serious general condition.

Eleven months have passed since the blessed repose in the Lord of Bishop Milutin of Valjevo. Near the grave in the church of the Resurrection of Christ, a prayer was offered for the soul of the dear spiritual father, the first archpastor in the renewed Valjevo diocese.

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch, visited the Jasenovac Monastery on 28 February 2021.

With the faithful people, clergy and monks, His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch in the sacred family of the Jasenovac monastery was welcomed by His Grace Bishop Jovan of Slavonia. After the doxology in the church of the Holy New Martyrs of Jasenovac, in prayerful remembrance on the occasion of the visit, Bishop Jovan presented His Holiness the Patriarch with a particle of the relics of the Holy New Martyrs of Jasenovac.

The Divine Liturgy, the first in the Zagreb Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Lord since he was elected head of the Serbian Orthodox Church, His Holiness Porfirije Serbian Patriarch served on February 28, 2021, on the Sunday of the Prodigal Son. His Grace Bishop Sergije of Bihac-Petrovac and the clergy of the Zagreb Cathedral concelebrated together.
