On February 27, 2021, Patriarch Porfirije, in his first pastoral visit since he was elected head of the Serbian Orthodox Church, visited the village of Majske Poljane, a place near Glina, which was severely affected by the earthquake on December 29, 2020. In the earthquake, many houses were razed to the ground, while others were unsafe for life.

February 2021 - 19:02His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch, accompanied by His Grace Bishop Gerasim of Gornji Karlovac attended the delivery of containers intended for the temporary accommodation of families affected by the earthquakes in Banija at the Lekenik Civil Protection base, on February 27, 2021.
Two large and four smaller containers were donated by the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Zagreb. According to the Serbian National Council, this visit is a continuation of the help that the Serbian Orthodox Church has been persistently and selflessly sending to the residents of Banija since the first day after the earthquake, directed from the Metropolitanate of Zagreb-Ljubljana, which was headed by the new Serbian Patriarch, and in coordination with SNC Banija is our home.

For his first pastoral visit the new elected Serbian Patriarch Porfirije chosed Banija. One 27 February 2021, one week after he became the head of the Serbian Orthodox Church former Metropolitan of Zagreb-Ljubljana, in an organization of the Metropolitanate of Zagreb-Ljubljana and the Serbian National Council visited the area that was destroyed in a devastating earthquake a few months ago.
Bishop Teodosije: Support for the initiative of the President of Serbia to help the survival of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija

February 2021 - 18:07On the occasion of yesterday's statement of the President of Serbia, Mr. Aleksandar Vucic, at the meeting with the political representatives of our people in Kosovo and Metohija in Kursumlija, the Diocese of Raska and Prizren wholeheartedly welcomes the initiative of the President and the announcement that the state of Serbia will take additional steps to encourage our people to survive and stay on their centuries-old homes.
It is especially important that all citizens living in Kosovo and Metohija will receive financial assistance, the unemployed 200 euros per person, and the employed and each child 100 euros. This financial assistance from the state will significantly contribute to the economic recovery of our people, which is additionally endangered due to the recent floods and the coronavirus pandemic.

27. February 2021 - 16:02His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch served a funeral service for Milivoje Srbljan, a long-term important member of the Choir of the Cathedral church of the Transfiguration of the Lord on February 26, 2021.
The late Milivoje, who, after a long and severe illness, fell asleep in the Lord on February 23, was, for more than thirty years, one of the most active members of the Choir of the Church of the Transfiguration in Zagreb. Along with Milivoj, the backbone of the choir all those years, there were also his three children: Snjezana, Aleksandar and Ivana. The eldest daughter, Ivana Srbljan, a soloist at the Rijeka Opera, has been the conductor of this singing society for many years, with a tradition of more than 140 years.

26. February 2021 - 20:33His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch, the administrator of the Diocese of Zagreb-Ljubljana, visited the Serbian Orthodox Grammar School Kantakuzina Katarina Brankovic in Zagreb on February 26, 2021.
The patriarch visited the grammar school on the seventh day since he was enthroned on the throne of the Belgrade-Karlovci metropolitans and Serbian patriarchs in Belgrade on February 19. On behalf of the school, protopresbyter-staurophor Slobodan Lalic, principal of the Grammar school, congratulated Patriarch Porfirije on his election as the new Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
