Belgrade's Cathedral church celebrates its slava

On the day when our Holy Church celebrates the Synaxis of St. Michael the Archangel, His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch led the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the Belgrade's Cathedral church with the concelebration of the priests of the Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovac, the head of the Representation of the Russian Orthodox Church in Belgrade archpriest Vitaly Tarasjev, as well as guest from the Russian area of Rostov-on-Don, archpriest Georgi Smorkalov - hierarchal deputy of Shahtin and the secretary of the Diocese of Shakhtinskaya-Millerovsky of the Metropolitanate of Don.
Annual pilgrimage to Serbia and Lika 2011

A group of seven American Serbs led by Father Aleksandar Bugarin from Kansas City made a pilgrimage to the "Old Country" from October 10 - 21, 2011. The main reason for the pilgrimage was to spiritually enrich the pilgrims and for them to see the country of their origin and meet some "relatives" for the first time.The group visited the most important middle ages monasteries in Serbia, experienced great Serbian hospitality and tasted the best food ever. In Lika, the province their grandparents came from to the US, they met some of their "relatives" for the first time. They attended Divine Liturgy in Plaski; the church where their ancestors were baptized. They visited the surrounding villages and walked the same paths as their ancestors had before them. In Plaski, Lika we met the families: Skorupan, Latas, Kraguljac and Dokmanovic, relatives of the pilgrims.
St. Archangel Michael's Day celebrated in Tvrdos

The feast day of Synaxis of St. Archangel Michael prayerfully celebrated in the monastery of Tvrdos where the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy was served by Their Graces Bishops Grigorije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina and retired Atanasije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina with the concelebration of heugomen Sava of Tvrdos and priests of the Diocese.
