Celebration of St. John the Theologian at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Belgrade

On the occasion of the Patron Saint's Day of students of the Faculty of the Orthodox Theology of the University in Belgrade in the side chapel of St. John the Theologian in this highest educational institution of the Serbian Orthodox Church, on Friday  May 20/7 2011, all-night vesper service was served with the concelebration of many bishops of our Holy Church: His Beatitude Archbishop of Ohrid and Metropolitan of Skopje kyr kyr Jovan and Their Graces Bishops - Irinej of Backa, dean of the Faculty; Pahomije of Vranje; Maksim of Western-America; Marko of Bregalnica and David of Stobi.

Construction of the church on Kopaonik

His Grace Bishop Hrizostom of Zica met today in the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade with Mr. Nebojska Skoric, director of the PE Ski Resorts of Serbia. The theme of the discussion was an initiative about the construction of a church on Kopaonik - the most visited winter center in Serbia. The meeting was attended by protopresbyter-staurophor Stojadin Pavlovic, acting director of the Patriarchate administrative office.   

Holy Liturgy in Holy Trinity Cathedral Church in Vranje

 On the feast day of St. Athanasius the Great, on May 15 2011, in the Cathedral church of Holy Trinity in Vranje, the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy was served by His Beatitude Archbishop of Ohrid and Metropolitan of Skopje kyr kyr Jovan and His Grace Bishop Pahomije of Vranje with the concelebration of priests of the Archbishopric of Ohrid and Vranje.

Feast day of the Transfer of the relics of St. Sava in Vracar

His Grace Vicar Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno served today, on the feast day of the Transfer of the relics of St. Sava, the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the old church of St. Sava in Vracar. 

Foundations of the church of St. Jevstatije in Trepca

His Grace Bishop Joanikije of Budimlje-Niksic consecrated on Sunday, May 14, on the feast day of St. Jeremiah the Prophet, the foundations of the church which is going to be built in the village of Trepca, near Andrijevica.

The future church in Trepca, the village between Berane and Andrijevica, will be devoted to St. Jevstatije the Serbian, the great spiritual father and the prominent hierarch of our Holy Church. The foundations were consecrated by His Grace Bishop Joanikije with the concelebration of a few priests of the regency of Berane-Andrijevica and monks of the Djurdjevi Stupovi monastery. There were many faithful people present here as well as Mr. Vuko Golubovic, the mayor of Berane and Ministry of Health in the Government of the Republic of Montenegro  Dr. Miodrag Radunovic.
