Reception on the occasion of Patron Saint's Day of the Serbian capital

The Mayor of Belgrade Mr. Dragan Djilas held a reception yesterday at the Belgrade City Hall on the occasion of the Ascension of Jesus - the Patron Saint's Day of the Serbian capital. The reception was, on behalf of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch was attended by His Grace Vicar Bishop Atanasije.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch received on May 30, 2011 at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade His Eminence Metropolitan Kyrril of Varna and Veliki Preslav accompanied by His Excellency Georgi Dimitrov, the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria in Serbia.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch recieved today on June 1, 2011 at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade Her Excellency Ana Hrustanovic, newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Italy.

Patron Saint's Day of St. Nicholas church in Pristina

On the feast day of the Transfer of the relics of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker solemnly was celebrated the church's Patron Saint's Day of the restored church of St. Nicholas in Pristina. The Liturgy was, with the blessing of Bishop Teodosije, serve by head of the church of St. Nicholas parish of Pristina, presbyter Darko Marinkovic with the concelebration of other parish Stevo Mitric. After the feast day's procession, the slava cakes were blessed and cut.

Delegation of the parliament of Bayern visits Bishop's Palace in Novi Sad

On May 31 of this year, the Bishop's Palace in Novi Sad was visited by a delegation of the parliament of the Free State of Bayern. On behalf of His Grace Bishop Irinej of Backa the delegation was received by protopresbyter Milovan Miodragovic, deacon Dragan Radic and nun Vasilija.

Bishop Maxim celebrates the The Feast of Saint George

The liturgical day began with Vespers on the eve of St. Thomas Sunday continuing with Matins and the Hierarchical Liturgy the following morning. His Grace Bishop Maxim presided at the Liturgy co-served by the local clergy: Fr. Bratso Krsic, the parish priest, Fr. Velimir Petakovic, the priest emeritus, Fr. Milan Vukovic, the priest from the sister parish of St. Petka in San Marcos, followed by the cross-procession or litya around the church with the Gospel readings and the prayer for the faithful, the church, the city and every city and country.

Patriarch Irinej opened closing exhibition of the works of students of the Academy of the Serbian Orthodox Church

His Holiness Irinej Serbian Patriarch opened last night a traditional annual exhibition of the works of the student of the High School - Academy of the Serbian Orthodox  Church for arts and conservation, in the presence of His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno, in the atelier of the Academy. The opening was attended by Mr. Dragan Cvorovic, state secretary at the Ministry of Faith and Diaspora, representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Education, professors from other arts academies in Belgrade, students and others.
