Serbian Patriarch visits Russian Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral in Des Plaines, Chicago

On Saturday, February 26th, on the eve of Meatfare Sunday, His Holiness, Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, accompanied by Bishop Longin of Nova Gracanica-Midwestern America visited the Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral, the seat of the Chicago and Mid-American Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR) in Des Plaines, the suburb of Chicago.  

St. Simeon the Myrrh-streaming formally celebrated in monastery of Studenica

With the blessing of His Grace Bishop Hrizostom of Zica, His Grace Bishop Jovan of Sumadija served on the day of Venerable Simeon the Myrrh-streaming the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in Studenica monastery.

With the blessing of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, His Grace Vicar Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno served  the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy this morning in the Patriarchate chapel dedicated to the founder of the Serbian state and the church - St. Simeon the Myrrh-streaming, who is celebrated today prayerfully by Our Church.

On Monday, February 21, 2011 His Holiness Irinej Serbian Patriarch accompanied by His Grace Bishop Longin of Nova Gracanica and Midwestern America visited the Serbian Orthodox Patriarchal Monastery of the Birth of Holy Mother of God in New Carlisle in Indiana.

Patriarch Irinej visits The St. Elijah Cathedral in Merrillville

On the eve of the feast of the Holy Hieromartyr Haralambos, on February 22, 2011, His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia, accompanied by His Grace Bishop Longin and the clergy, visited the St. Elijah the Prophet Cathedral in Merrillville, Indiana.

In the full church the faithful people offered their prayers to God together with their clergy and with fear of God and a firm faith prayerfully rejoiced at the arrival of His Holiness. The clergy together with the many children and people welcomed His Holiness with the traditional bread, salt and flowers, greeting the Serbian Patriarch with the words, Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord./PHOTOGALERY/

A joyous and historic beginning at St Petka church in Orlando

Sunday February 20, 2011 was a joyous and historic day for St. Petka Serbian Orthodox Church of Orlando, Florida. Clergy and faithful came from great distances to be present for this most special occasion. His Grace Bishop Dr. Mitrophan officiated at the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy.
