Serbian Patriarch Irinej consecrates church of St. Great Martyr Justin the Philosopher and Venerable Justin of Celije

On the occasion of the consecration of newly built church of St. Great martyr Justin the Philosopher and Venerable Justin of Celije in Vranje, upon the invitation of His Grace Bishop Pahomije of Vranje, on October 18, 2010 His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch visited Vranje. /photo gallery

Exactly at 8.30am, His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, at the entrance to the courtyard of the Cathedral Church of Holy Trinity in Vranje, in presence of lots of priests, monks and believrs, was welcomed by: His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral, Bishop Lukijan of Budimlje, Bishop Marko of Bregalnica, Vicar Bishop David of Stobi and the host of this great event Bishop Pahomije of Vranje. This event was attended by monks of the Chilandar monastery. Besides church dignitaries, this prayerful event was attended also by representatives of public, cultural and political life of the Republic of Serbia, the county of Pcinje and the town of Vranje and representatives of the Serbian Army.


Today's event ended with a table of love which was prepared in the hotel Vranje, and the hosts were together the Orthodox Diocese of Vranje and the Town of Vranje.
