Eastern Diocese Clergy Seminar 2013

His Grace Bishop Dr. Mitrophan consistently schedules clergy seminars for the purpose of continuing education. Since at least 1993 various speakers have addressed a wide range of topics related to the priesthood and parish life.
Since 2008 the seminars have been held at Shadeland in Springboro, Pennsylvania. The seminars make good use of the beautiful Most Holy Mother of God Monastery Church and St. Sava Camp facilities. This year the Vesper service was held on October 28, 2013 followed by dinner and a general discussion. On Tuesday morning, October 29, Matins and the Hours were completed followed by the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, served on Friday, on 8 November 2013, on the occasion of the church slava, the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church of Saint Demetrius in New Belgrade.
The Patriarch was concelebrated by eight priests and five deacons, and the choir of this church chanted. The church was full of believers. After the holy communion, the Patriarch cut the slava cake and held a sermon.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, received today, on 7 November 2013, Mr. Ivan Mrkic, Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, at the Serbian Patriarchate.
Bishop Teodosije serves Holy Liturgy in Prizren

Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy with the concelebration of three priests, in the church of Saint George the Greatmartyr on 3 November 2013. Students of the Prizren Seminary along with their professors sang responses. Following the Liturgy the Bishop talked with believers of this small but brave Serbian community in this imperial city.
Serbian Patriarch Irinej honorary citizen of Zemun

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, received yesterday an award - the Honorary Citizen of Zemun with a medal - at a solemn session of the Assembly of the City Municipality of Zemun, held on the occasion of the Day of Zemun.
The Patriarch received this dinstinction on the occasion of 5th November, the Day of Zemun, which is marking the date when the Serbian army liberated this town in 1918.
