Saint Sava Day in Saint Sava Cathedral in Belgrade
27. January 2021 - 20:23His Grace Bishop Jovan of Sumadija and the Administrator of the Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovci celebrated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the Saint Sava Cathedral in the Vracar district, in Belgrade on 27 January 2021, on Saint Sava Day.
The Bishop was concelebrated by archpriest Nenad Jovanovic, presbyters Vladimir Levicanin, Dragan Sovljanski, Predrag Prodic, Ivan Strbacki and Branislav Klickovic, protodeacons Stevan Rapajic and Ivan Gasic, hierodeacons Jovan (Prokin), Vasilije (Starovlah) and Siluan (Popovic), deacon Radomir Vrucinic and subdeacons Vladimir Jelic and Dejan Nakic. During the service the Bishop ordained priests Dragan Sovljanski, Predrag Prodic and Ivan Strbacki to the rank of archpriest.

Saint Sava's Academy in Nis

WIth the blessing of His Grace Bishop Arsenije of Nis, a traditional Saint Sava's Academy was held in Saint Sava's House at Cathedral church in Nis on 25 January 2021.
The academy in honor of Saint Sava, prince, monk, writer, diplomat and the first Archbishop of the autocephalous Serbian Orthodox Church was organized by the Church Municipality of the City of Nis and the Nis Church Choir "Branko", with the support of the City of Nis, University of Nis and the Army Command.

With the faithful people of that parish and the sisterhood of the monastery of the Dormition of St. Anne and Pakra, His Grace Bishop Jovan of Slavonia served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy with the concelebration of priests George Ostojic and deacons Milan Tomasevic and Milan Jovic in the church of the Holy Fathers of the First Ecumenical Council.

On Friday, January 22, 2021, the 79th anniversary of the Pogrom (Novi Sad Racia) in January 1942 was marked at Novi Sad’s Quay of the Victims of the Pogrom. Representatives of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Jewish community in Novi Sad, delegations from the City of Novi Sad, the Parliament of Vojvodina and the Serbian Army, representatives of the embassies of Israel and Hungary, other political and cultural activists as well as personalities who came to enhance the prayerful event and to show the unity of all who remember the innocent victims with sadness in their hearts, met at the Family Monument at noon that day.
