The St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Carmichaels was consecrated in 1954. The parish Slava is celebrated each year on May 6, St. George Day. The St. George Choir Slava is November 16, the Renovation of the Church of St. George.

The Divine Liturgy was held on November 16, 2015. The parish celebrated the Choir Slava with the blessing of the Slava Kolac and Koljivo on November 22, 2015. Living and departed choir members were remembered during the service.

The St. George Choir members are faithful in singing responses throughout the year. The St. George Choir sings in church every Sunday. Choir members sing during Great Lent and on feast days.

Members of the choir sing at baptisms, weddings, funerals and memorial services. The choir is heard regularly on the weekly parish radio program which is broadcast locally and on the internet throughout the year.
