Transfiguration of Our Lord in Krka Monastery

By the tradition the feast day of the Transfiguration of Our Lord also this year was formally celebrated in the monastery of Krka. The celebration was commenced with a formal vesper service, which was served by His Grace Bishop Fotije of Dalmatia. He was concelebrated by priests and monks of the Diocese of Dalmatia.

After the vesper service there was a nice cultural and art program. The participants and guests were greeted by Bishop Fotije of Dalmatia who also wished them a pleasent stay in the monastery of Krka.

On the day of the holiday there was the Divine Liturgy which was served by Bishop Fotije with the concelebration of the priests and monks of the Diocese of Dalmatia and other dioceses. Also the grapes were consecrated becuase of the custom of this feast day. In his sermon he said the this feast day was especially celebrated since the old times in Dalmatia, and particularly in the monastery of Krka and so it is very important among the Orthodox Dalmatians.
