The feast of the Nativity of the Mother of God at Cajnice

The Church of the Assumption of the Most Holy Mother of God in Cajnice, in which the miraculous icon of the Most Holy Mother of God “the Cajnice Krasnica” is being kept, solemnly and magnificently celebrated its saint patron feast-day.

In the year of the Lord's mercy, in 2020,  His Eminence Metropolitan of Dabar-Bosnia Hrisostom came to Cajnice on this great feast-day for the first time to celebrate the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy. Archpriests staurophores Momir Vasiljevic and Andrej Hughes from the USA (Patriarchate of Antioch), archpriest Nikola Kovac, archpriest Ljubomir Prijovic, priests Damjan Radovic and Milos Janjic, as well as deacons Budimir Gardovic and Vjekoslav Jovanovic concelebrated.

Consecrated church at Dugo Polje

On Sunday, September 20, 2020, His Grace Ilarion, Bishop of Timok, together with archimandrite Kozma (Radovic), archpriest Aleksa Simeunovic, archpriest Dejan Milivojevic and Priest Nemanja Tobic, consecrated the Church of the Ascension of the Lord at Dugo Polje.

In addition to many faithful people, the consecration of the church was attended by Mr. Miodrag Nikolic, President of the Municipality of Sokobanja, Mr. Vladimir Milovanovic, Deputy Mayor, and Mr. Vladan Petkovic, President of the Municipal Assembly of Sokobanja. The whole event was enhanced by chanting of the members of the Zajecar choir at the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God.

His Grace Bishop Fotije of Zvornik-Tuzla  served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in Doboj on the occasion of the celebration of the Cathedral Memorial Church of the Birth of the Most Holy Mother of God, on September 21, 2020.

Church dedication feast of the Monastery of Dragovic

His Grace Bishop Nikodim of Dalmatia celebrated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the Dragovic Monastery on September 20, 2020.

Within the last week before the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the faithful traditionally gathered with their Bishop to celebrate together the church dedication feast. "Today we have gathered to celebrate the feast of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God, as we have been gathering here for decades and as our glorious ancestors gathered. I am glad to see, brothers and sisters, that you foster the faith to come and pray to the Lord, despite all the troubles and this disease that has befallen the whole world. "Through this prayer of ours today, we have given our small contribution in order to participate in the House of Salvation and to try together to gain the Kingdom of Heaven," said Bishop Nikodim.

Dedication day of the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God in Zemun

On September 21, 2020, on the feast of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God, His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej presided over the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the Church of the Mother of God in Zemun, which celebrated its Patron Saint-day and the 240th anniversary of the consecration.

Archimandrite Methodius, abbot of the Chilandar monastery; Archimandrite Nectarije, co-brother of Chilandar; Archpriest Vitaly Tarasyev - head of the Moscow Patriarchate Representation in Belgrade and the local clergy concelebrated to the Patriarch.

The patron saint of the Diocese of Backa - the Miracle of the Holy Archangel Michael in Chona, was celebrated on September 19, 2020 in Sombor. The Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church-yard of the Church of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist was officiated by His Grace  Bishop Irinej of Backa and His Grace Vicar Bishop Isihije of Mohács, clergy and monks of the Diocese of Backa.
