The relics of Saints Cosmas and Damian at Cacak
12. December 2013 - 15:41On Sunday, 24 November 2013, on the feast-day of Saint King Stefan of Decani, relics of Holy Unmercenaries Cosmas and Damian, which are kept at the monastery of Sopocani, were brought in the church of Holy Ascension of God at Cacak
By God’s grace and with the blessing of Bishop of Sumadia and administrator of the Diocese of Zica Jovan, and Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren and thanks to efforts of the clergy of the Ascension church, the relics csme at 3 p.m. at the City square accompanied by monks from the Sopocani monastery. They gave the tabernacle with the relics to Archimandrite Timotej from the Ascension monastery, and then the procession went through the streets of the city towards the church. In front of the church the relics were solemnly welcomed by clergymen and monks in the presence of many believers.

10. December 2013 - 15:20The Central Council of the Serbian Orthodox Church for North and South America meets in Chicago. At the liturgical gathering at the Cathedral church of the Resurrection of Christ the monastic name day of Metropolitan Amfilohije was also remembered.
His Eminence Amfilohije, Archbishop of Cetinje and Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral as well as administrator of the Diocese of Buenos Aires and South-Central American, on his monastic name-day, the feast day of Saint Amphilochius of Iconium, officiated Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral church of the Resurrection of Christ in Chicago.

International Scientific Conference – “The Cyrillo-Methodian Tradition, the Language and the Mission of the Church in the XXI Century”
10. December 2013 - 11:42At the Orthodox Theological Faculty of the University in Belgrade, on 6 December 2013 there was held an International Scientific Conference “The Cyrillo-Methodian Tradition, the Language and the Mission of the Church in the XXI Century”.
Before the beginning of the great scientific conference, His Grace Bishop Irinej of Backa celebrated the Hierarchal Divine Liturgy at the chapel of Saint John the Theologian. The dean of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology protopresbyter-stavrophor Professor Dr. Predrag Puzovic opened the conference and Bishop Irinej and protopresbyter-stavrophor Professor Dr. Vladimir Vukasinovic delivered addresses. Director of the Office for Cooperation with Traditional Churches and Religious Communities Dr. Mileta Radojevic also attended the opening ceremony.
The Entry of the Most Holy Mother of God into the Temple to Monastery of Pakra

December 2013 - 13:23On the feast of the Entry of the Most Holy Mother of God, His Grace Bishop Jovan of Ulpiana, Vicar of Serbian Patriarch – administrator of the Diocese of Slavonia, with the concelebration of all clergymen of the Diocese of Slavonia celebrated Hierarchal Liturgy in the monastery of Pakra, which observes this feast as its church patron day.
On the eve of the feast-day Bishop Jovan visited the Cathedral church of Holy Trinity in Pakrac, where the bells were restored for the first time after the war in 1991, as well as the church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God in Gavranica. Lots of faithful people welcomed the Bishop the vigil service was celebrated on the eve of the feast of the Entry of the Most Holy Mother of God into the Temple.
